BBQ Chicken

I love summer grilling.

Sitting on the deck while the smell of chicken and sweet BBQ sauce wafts through the air.  Relaxing in the warm breeze, as the trees provide shade overhead.

It’s comforting, and slows the day down.

I talked yesterday about grilling and family time, and it is important to slow your day/week/month down to spend time with family.  Whether you’re grilling outdoors, or making Christmas treats during the winter, or getting together to celebrate something mundane; family time & time spent with loved ones is extremely important.

*Note-“family” is what you make of it, as I know quite a few people who don’t have traditional families. A family may be your close group of friends, blood relatives, or your spouses/significant others family.  Hanging our hat on traditional definitions is a dated idea.*

Fire up the grill.  I use foil, but if you have other means to grill, please use them.  Spray a generous amount of oil onto foil.

Place chicken onto foil over low heat.  Turning as needed (I turn once during cooking.)  Baste BBQ sauce over chicken while cooking-using a brush to coat the chicken with as much sauce as desired.

Grill until chicken is thoroughly cooked,

Serve!
